We aim to assist students, teaching staff, support departments and collaborative partners to ensure we are making an impact on the University&rsquo;s current and future digital landscape.&nbsp;</p><h2>About the Role</h2><p data-pasted="true">As a Digital Delivery Coordinator, you&rsquo;ll be the organisational heartbeat of our technical delivery teams &mdash; keeping projects moving, information flowing and activity running smoothly across a busy digital environment. You&rsquo;ll plan and track work, manage dependencies, coordinate technical resources and ensure documentation, reporting and governance are always sharp, accurate and audit-ready.</p><p>You&rsquo;ll work across multiple technical workstreams, supporting deployments, testing phases, supplier activity and day-to-day operations. You won&rsquo;t manage people, but you&rsquo;ll influence widely &mdash; driving clarity, shaping meetings, escalating risks early and helping senior technical leads make informed decisions. This role is a brilliant launchpad into digital delivery or technical coordination. You&rsquo;ll gain exposure to infrastructure, applications, data, service management and supplier engagement, building a strong foundation for future progression in a modern, ambitious digital department. This is a fast-paced, varied role where your organisation, communication and problem-solving skills will make a visible difference from day one.</p><p>Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract.</p><p><strong>The anticipated interview date is Wednesday 24th June 2026.</strong></p><h2>About You</h2><p style="margin-left:0cm;" data-pasted="true">The ideal candidate will be a highly organised and proactive professional with a proven ability to coordinate complex technical and digital delivery activities across multiple concurrent workstreams. You will excel in fast-paced environments, confidently managing competing priorities, identifying risks early, and ensuring projects remain on track through effective planning, communication, and follow-through.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">With experience working throughout the technical delivery lifecycle; including deployments, testing phases, and change control processes; you will understand how to support successful delivery while maintaining accuracy and governance. You will be comfortable collaborating with technical teams, suppliers, and a broad range of stakeholders, translating complex information into clear documentation, actionable plans, and meaningful management reports.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">A strong communicator with excellent Microsoft 365 skills, you will be able to produce insightful dashboards and management information that enable senior stakeholders to make informed decisions. The School has strong links with key external agencies including the University Hospitals for Derby and Burton NHS Trust who support the Biomedical Sciences IBMS provision as well as research collaborations. The School also works with regional forensic science agencies including the police and private forensic science labs as well as numerous environmental agencies locally, nationally and internationally focusing on conservation, habitat management and environmental regeneration.</p><h2>About the Role</h2><p data-pasted="true">The Psychology subject area is home to the University&#39;s Psychology, Ergonomics and Human Factors and Counselling and Psychotherapy provision, with programmes delivered at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. As a TEF Gold institution, we are proud to contribute high quality programmes grounded in psychological and behavioural science with a significant focus on applied psychology and professional practice. We host a large accredited provision across several Professional and Statutory Regulatory Bodies (including the CIEHF, BABCP, BACP, NCPS, BPS and HCPC). Programmes range from undergraduate underpinnings and initial postgraduate training for some psychological professions, to delivery that supports careers in sectors such as marketing, business, management and leadership (and many more). Furthermore we offer training in a range of therapeutic modalities across the counselling and psychotherapy courses and contribute to the development of the wider psychological workforce through our NHS based commissioned programmes. In Psychology our provision is underpinned by excellent student support to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students and high quality progression opportunities into a range of careers. Our delivery is further underpinned by high quality scientific research and scholarly activity, with industry informed and based research informing and leading the development of curriculum to ensure programmes are meeting the needs of employers to foster the success of our graduates from across the subject.&nbsp;</p><p>We are excited to be able to advertise this role for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Ergonomics and Human Factors. We are looking for someone to join our ergonomics team to support the delivery of our ergonomics provision. The role holder will contribute to the academic leadership and delivery of modules on our MSc Ergonomics and Human Factors (with pathways), support supervision of student research projects and and to the research profile of the Psychology Subject area, including applied Ergonomics and Human Factors research.</p><p>As we develop and grow our ergonomics and human factors provision, this role will include oversight, leadership and development of our online programmes, working with the Subject lead, senior academics and the wider teaching team to ensure continuation of excellent student experience and outcomes. There are also opportunities to contribute to the psychology provision and other areas that align with your area of expertise. We are passionate about inspiring and empowering our graduates in their future careers in a range of destinations, within industry, academia or other progression routes. The role will include leading and supporting our marketing events (e.g., open days) which occasionally take place into evenings and at weekends.</p><p>The Psychology subject area has an active research agenda, and you will be expected to engage with and support financially sustainable research and/or other appropriate academic activity. Our provision spans campus and online delivery there will be opportunity for working from home as agreed with the Subject Lead. We do support hybrid working as business needs permit. There is currently no requirement for line management in this role.&nbsp;</p><p>This is a part time position (0.6 FTE) which may be attractive to candidates who wish to continue practice based work and develop their academic practice alongside this.</p><h2>About You</h2><p>We are seeking a lecturer or senior lecturer in Ergonomics and Human Factors who holds (or is willing to gain) Chartered or Technical membership of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF) to join our team delivering programmes in ergonomics. We would welcome applications from candidates with experience of teaching / training and leadership, and experience of relevant transferable skills in these areas from beyond higher education (e.g., industry based experience). The candidate should also have experience of undertaking research, and be passionate about supporting the development and growth of evidence in their field.
